Hey yall! sorry for the lack updates! Times have been crazy. It has been hot! wowzers- its becoming that time of year that I sit around and sweat a lot. Besides the heat, Boston has been fun. The Celtics have been killing it and the Boston Marathon was today and I cannot believe how many people pushed through the heat. Craziness! I was able to hit a bar down by the waterfront yesterday and I cannot say how amazing it was. Hanging with friends on a rooftop right by the water with perfect temperature! It does not get any better than that!
Anyway- more videos coming soon. Until then, life has been good my friends!
Whats cooking? Sorry for the lack of updates, life has been rolling and rolling these days. I finally have my flights and classes all set for the summer and things are feeling under control again. I also know that I will be back in Japan this summer and will be hitting north and south California for a couple short trips as well! Now that the flights are set and my wallet is lighter than it was before, I am in the early stages of planning a summer show back in Tokyo! I am also talking to my California buddies about a possible camping trip!
Otherwise, I have been writing more music- the ideas are beginning to flow as time goes on. However, I have still been searching for more musicians to play with out here in Boston (currently following some leads). I am still pushing my new music video as well! Remember to please pass around “Where are you from” as much as possible!
In other news, I have been studying a for the teaching exam that is coming up in May and hanging with friends. I went to see the Hunger Games the other day, and although I had not read the book- I thought it was pretty good. The world that the author built was a cool one to dive into, but I could not help but think about the similarity of the story line to the Japanese Film “Battle Royale.” If you haven’t seen it I would recommend it! It is a lot more gruesome than the Hunger Games though, I think it is far from PG-13. The film makers of the Hunger Games did a great job of keeping it edgy and serious without showing so much gore. I don’t know if I would take my kids to see it though hahah, it was intense!

So the snow is finally falling in Boston! It must only be third or fourth time this winter, we are all hoping for a snow day tomorrow- but we will see. Doing taxes, filling out financial aid forms, and watching Jeremy Lin has been my thing these days. The taxes and financial aid forms a huge headache but watching Jeremy Lin throw down with the Knicks has been awesome. Besides killing it on the floor for all of us Asian Americans, the fact that Jeremy Lin is bringing to light the amount of subtle racism there is against Asian Americans is great. The SNL skit the other day put it perfectly.
Otherwise the song writing is finally coming along. I’ve recorded my first demo in a long time. The song isn’t done but it is the first piece of music since Baby Steps that I have recorded into the computer. I am really excited about it, fresh and new. I am thinking about shooting a video for that soon to release in the summer, just something fun to get out and spice things up a bit.
I am also in the middle of figuring out my summer plans. Depending on how school goes I am hoping to be throwing another event back in Japan! I am thinking about merchandise as well. Shirts… wristbands…? Any ideas?

Hey guys,
I hope you are doing well. Check out this weeks vlog post. Kind of a recap of the last 10 follow me videos. Like I said in the video I am taking a break from the weekly vids hoping that it will free me up to do some different kinds of projects. Otherwise I spoke to Brian, my editor and it seems like we are on target for 3.12 release of Where Are You From. Still got a ways to go but I am excited about it.
Otherwise, I have been watching Jeremy Lin, working, writing some songs on the acoustic, and trying to get my financial aid forms in. Good times all around.
I also have been talking to my buddy FrizWill, an awesome friend and rapper in the Boston area, about writing some music together. He just dropped a new video and if you are interested in hip hop you should definitely check it out.
There is a chance I may be getting a week long vacation next week! And if that does happen that will definitely mean some time take care of some house keeping stuff, making new videos, and writing music.

Sheep Chase (Almost at 4000 Views Please help me out!)
If you are reading this you are probably wondering… Where is this weeks video?! I have to say I am sorry to let you guys down but I have been so busy these days it has been hard to get a video done. I have been working a lot more and I still have some graduate school paper work that I need to take care of. With a weekend job, friends to see, and more work during the week it is hard to sit down to make a video. I actually was planning on having the next video be the last video for a little while anyway. The reason is because I am extremely busy I am struggling to get things out every week. These videos, as simple as they seem still take me a long time to edit. Video is a tough thing to work with in general with all the time it takes to import, upload, and download. I also feel as though because I am busy, I am only able to put out simple vlog videos which are the easiest to put out. I have been wanting to put some time aside to do a cover, but they take a couple weeks to usually get together and with the deadline of a new video needed every week I can never put time aside to put together more time consuming videos. I have also been meaning to try some different types of videos, some skits, cooking videos and other stuff but I need a bit more time during the week to get those videos together.
I hope you all understand and dont forget about me. I am planning on posting a video soon to tell you the new status in video blog form. I hope to release videos every couple weeks but not at a set time so please keep checking back!
Otherwise, I watched the super bowl and was pretty bummed out about the patriots losing, but they definitely did not play that well so I do not feel like they really deserved it anyway. Jeremy Lin is killing it on the Knicks and making little asian kids’ dreams come true all around the country. He is truly inspiring. I am thinking about dropping music and putting my b ball shoes back on…
Anyway- I hope you are all doing well. I think there will be snow here tomorrow.
